TKGOU USB Microphone

Given my speakers, the acoustics of the room, and the quality of my voice, i don’t believe there is a discernible difference between this mic and one that cost 5x as much. It is, however, much better sound than from the tiny mic that is built into my tiny camera. I record audio tracks for adobe captivate presentations and spend lots of time in meetings on teams.

I bought it when it was on sale and it works way better than the built in microphone from my laptop. Depending on the program you’re using, the microphone volume can be a little soft.

It works ok until i can get a different one. The main issue is i didn’t receive the pop filter. So i can’t tell if some of the vibrations would still be in the recording or not. Haven’t heard back from the company since april 16th. Would i purchase again probably not. Edit 5/28/20: i heard back from the company and they are going to send me a new mic with all the pieces. So i should be able to test it completely. When it comes i’ll do an unboxing video.

You’ll have to run software like audacity to get rid of background noise but it’s a pretty decent mic otherwise.

If you’re interested in a better microphone for gameplay or for recording, this is a great first mic. It’s relatively inexpensive and provides great sound quality. I was super impressed when i took it out of the box. The design is clean but also fairly small. I usually have my pc, monitor, my laptop and my ipad sitting on the same desk as i’m working and this microphone doesn’t get in the way. I’m using it for recording audio for a project in school and i’m thoroughly impressed with the sound quality.
