Razer Shark V2 Gaming Headset: THX 7
For what it costs, i had relatively low expectations of this headset. I came from a corsair virtuoso se wireless headset that had a great mic and very good sound, but the connection with my ps4 was never very solid and i would notice relatively frequent dropouts in audio. Friends with ps4s swore by using the 3. 5mm jack on the controller and i decided to use this to test. Build qualitywhen you pick up the headset the first thing you notice is just how light it is. It feels somewhat solid, but also it’s clear that this is not a headset that prioritized premium materials. It’s also extremely comfortable because of how light it is. Although i’ve never had issues with heavier headsets and neck pain, if that is a consideration the light materials should be great for long term sessions. The pads are faux leather on the interior ring and exterior ring. The part that rests against your head feels like something a little more breathable.
Great bass and super lightweight, sound quality is surprising.
The triforce 50 mm drivers deliver immersive audio and the microphone has crystal clear quality. I’ve had numerous headsets throughout my gaming experience and these are by far the best for their price.
I’m a former semi-pro overwatch player, and these headphones are almost better than the studio-grade sound-canceling ones we used for tournaments. 4 stars for sound quality since the anc isn’t as good, but it still allows me to focus on the game and tune out everything else. The surround is amazing on these, allowing for distinct and accurate noises even in a chaotic battlefield. Everything from music to movies to games is crisp and clear, and the cable is the perfect length. It’s lightweight and fits snugly on my head, and doesn’t put pressure on my glasses. I would pay 4x the price for headphones as good as these, highly recommended.
Ignore the one comment about some dude complaining about something he should of read. These sounds amazing and the mic is so clear and strong. The quality for games such as warzone is amazing loud footsteps, and sounds like you’re in a movie if turned up enough. I was using the ps4 pro headset, which sound amazing and super comfy, but lack a good mic. Not only do these headsets sound close to the ps4 pro headsets but are super comfy as well.
